Season 13 of the popular medical drama series, "Grey's Anatomy," will be based on dating and marriage. Season 12 ended with Riggs and Meredith seen flirting with each other and there is a fair chance that their love story may continue in season 13.
According to recent reports, Betsy Beers, Season 13's executive producer, offered some spoilers suggesting that the connection between Meredith and Riggs may end up becoming a serious relationship. Beers also insinuated that Meredith's love interest could also be Alex and not just Riggs.
Based on these teasers, fans and followers are wondering about Meredith and the kind of life she will have in season 13 of the show. There are also rumors that there might also be a love triangle between Alex and Riggs. However, it is still unclear if Alex will forgo his relationship with Meredith so that he can go back to Jo. As far as Riggs is concerned, his character is as mysterious as the upcoming season of "Grey's Anatomy."
The show's cast confirms Meredith's role in its thirteenth season and also other cast members have their contracts affirmed as well. The ABC medical drama renewed contracts for Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), James Pickens Jr. (Richard Webber) and Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt). "The audience truly identifies with Ellen Pompeo," series creator Shonda Rimes said. "We are following this woman's journey and the journey of all these people with her."
The fans can rejoice as "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will be aired sometime in Fall this year.
