WWE News and Rumors: Star Sheamus Talks About His Diet and His Equation With Younger Stars

Sheamus has without doubt been one of the greatest imports to the WWE in recent years and over the years, the super star has built up a persona that has made him a figure of love and hate among WWE fans. However, off the wrestling ring, he is a thoughtful individual who has interesting things to say about the business and his own career in general. Recently, as a part of filming TMNT2, he had a quick chat with Muscle & Fitness and spoke about his own diet plans, the feeling of winning his first WWE title and how he wants to be a mentor to the younger group of stars in the business.

In 2009, Sheamus won his first WWE title and in the process, it also made him the first Irish born star to achieve the milestone. When asked about his feelings regarding the triumph, he said, "It was crazy. I was always confident that I would win it, but I didn't think it would happen that quickly. All of sudden, I have the championship belt and my bag weighs about 50 pounds heavier! It was really cool." However, the talk quickly veered towards his diet and what he does in order to keep himself in peak physical condition. Sheamus was quite frank in his answers. He said, "I eat six meals per day and supplement with protein shakes. Nutrition Solutions pre-prepare my meals. I can take those on the road with me. Even the healthier food you see when traveling can be high in sodium, so I try to avoid that. I try to eat a lot of steak, and a lot of chicken, and I'm not really too 'carb conscious' because I'm burning energy by being in the ring and working out."

Lastly, when asked about his future plans he stated, "Right now I'm in a very good place were I have achieved 4 World Heavyweight Titles, I've won the Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank. The challenge now is to help some of the new kids that are coming up through the ranks. I'm really excited about getting in the ring with some fresh new opponents and helping to make the next generation of superstars."
