Four people were arrested in Massachusetts on Friday after authorities discovered 1,250 bags of heroin labeled as "OBAMA CARE" during a traffic stop, Boston.com reported.
According to the state police, a trooper noticed a driver making several traffic violations along Interstate 91 and pulled them over in Hatfield. After speaking with the driver, who was not licensed, and three passengers, the trooper saw evidence of illegal drugs and requested a K-9 unit.
The K-9, Frankie, found the bags of heroin and led to the arrest of all four people in the vehicle.
The driver, Tyler Robenstein, 23, of Colchester, Vt., was charged with trafficking heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession to distribute Class A substance, speeding, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to change lanes for an emergency vehicle.
The rest of the passengers -- Ashley Beaulieu, 21, of Colchester, Vt.; Marquese Jones, 22, of Newark, NJ; and Sherod Green, 21, Newark, NJ; were all charged with trafficking heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession to distribute a Class A substance.
Police said all four are expected for arraignment in Northampton District Court.
"I think it's whatever the person decides to put on it. So if the junkies who are buying them go, 'Wow, that Obamacare stuff was really good,'" said Lt. Daniel Richard.
"They label them with everything, so it's not bizarre."
Oddly enough, this is not the first time illegal drugs have been branded with Obama's name. POLITICO reported that in 2012, his name had become popular to use ever since the 2008 election.
"The Commander-in-Chief's name and face has been slapped on a wide variety of contraband products including ecstasy pills, LSD tabs, heroin baggies and a popular strain of medical marijuana," according to a report in Politicker, including 26 different types of Ecstasy pills.
