The latest rumor swirling across WWE rumor land involves real-life couple Alberto del Rio and Paige. Earlier reports suggested that the two were allegedly involved in a lovers' quarrel leading to Paige's arrest outside the Money in the Bank event in a Las Vegas arena. She was reportedly escorted away from scene but no charges or cases were filed against her or her wrestler boyfriend.
As per Cageside Seats, WWE is looking into the said incident involving its two wrestling stars. There were conflicting reports regarding the after images of the 23-year-old former Divas champion loaded in an ambulance instead of a police car circulated online.
However, latest report from Wrestle Zone noted that the couple were reportedly having a good time at Caesar's Palace when a drunken couple started out the incident by calling Paige and Del Rio "fake wrestlers." This resulted to an unsavory reaction from WWE's sweet odd couple. Eventually, the cops rushed into the scene just in time to calm down the already-tensed situation (see video). All were handcuffed and escorted out from the scene but none were reportedly arrested or hospitalized.
"Police were close by and quickly got the situation under control. Paige was handcuffed and taken for an evaluation. She was cleared and no arrest was made. The general feeling from the 'powers that be' is that the incident was handled properly," MLW Radio's Court Bauer said (via Forbes Magazine).
Paige was just briefly placed in an ambulance so paramedics could take a look at her condition. When the WWE Divas star was deemed okay, she was freed. The following night, she appeared on RAW. However, her boyfriend was noticeably absence due to a minor injury. The latest update on the said incident involving Paige and Del Rio indicate that brief altercation last Sunday won't affect the real-life WWE couple's status.
