Adulthood Obesity is a Result of Mean Parents and Teenagers Who are Insecure About their Eating Habits

As per the article published by Science Daily, scientists reveal that harsh parenting and food insecurities in their teenage years affect the girls most. In these years, a girl undergoes many changes, be it emotional, mental or physical.

The lead scientist of this research, Brenda Lohman, pointed out that the girls in their teenage years with normal body weight may get affected and eventually put on weight if they get anxious about their eating habits. The moment girls reach an age of 23, they gain weight rapidly and reach an extreme level.

This new study also indicated that the when a teenager is deprived of food and she is also stressed about her life, there is also a possibility that she may grow up with low self esteem. In that case, parents need to become more attentive to their teenage girls as she is most likely to become obese as she reaches adulthood. Teenage is not a good age for stress because they are not mature enough to handle stress in a constructive way.

Besides, this is also the age when they get to know who they are and what they want when it is about being themselves. Causing stress in the lives of your teenage children by using harsh parenting techniques would only disturb their healthy mental and physical growth.
