Apple enthusiasts and the fans were expecting MacBook Pro 2016 to be announced during WWDC. However, when the device was a no-show, it left many fans disappointed. In fact, the event was not at all about the hardware, all it talked about was new laptop's software. Looks like Apple is keeping the news of MacBook Pro tightly under wraps for a reason.
Even though the company is secretive about the laptop's latest specs, the reports indicate that the new laptop will come equipped with OLED bar positioned above the keyboard. This feature will be usable with a touchscreen to allow users to access and control their favorite apps.
The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is also rumored to come with AMD's Radeon RX 400 series graphics chips, 4k display and cellular connectivity. However, it is important to note that none of these features have been confirmed by the company and are only rumors. In fact, there is also a speculation that the MacBook Pro 2016 may kill its 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of lightning cable, just like iPhone 7 rumors. If this is indeed true, the users will be able to see a lightning port in Mac, rather than a headphone jack.
The reports are note that it is perhaps the removal of the headphone jack that the MacBook Pro is being delayed. Apple has made plans to introduce Lightning-to-Audio first in their iPhone 7 and then followed by MacBook Pro 2016. If the lightning port happens, the fans will have to spend additional $29 for the EarPods.
Rumor has it that MacBook Pro 2016 will be released this fall. This is also when the tech giant plans to unveil its MacBook Air 2016. However, some reports say that Air model may launch sooner than Pro, but Apple is yet to confirm this.
