Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici got a new blessing on Saturday, July 2. They were both over the moon.
"Sean and Catherine are so in love with Samuel already and are excited to be a family of three," said a source. "Catherine and the baby are doing great. They're both healthy and happy."
The 32-year-old Lowe tweeted what he felt on Saturday night: "God is good!" he wrote. "We had a healthy baby boy named Samuel Thomas. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and support."
He was followed by the ecstatic mother, Giudici, 30: "I'm in love with another boy, my son Samuel Thomas Lowe."
On Friday, July 1, Giudici had announced that she was getting ready for the birth, by tweeting a comic gif related to the Lion King's Rafiki.
"It is time," she captioned the cartoon image.
They are thrilled that it's a boy.
"He wants to teach him sports and things like that but he also is really excited to raise a great gentleman," an insider says. "He is so close with his dad and feels so lucky to have a great dad as a role model and wants to be that for his son."
Lowe had been giving some commentary about their situation. "[Catherine's] mom and her sister are coming to stay with us for about a month once the baby is born," Lowe texplained in May. "I know to most husbands that might sound daunting, but we love them and we're excited about it."
And since family members live close to the couple's Dallas home, "If we need to drop off the baby so they can babysit, it won't be a problem," he added.
The couple had met on The Bachelor in 2012 and wedded in a televised ceremony in January 2014. The happy news was revealed in December 2015.
