‘Game of Thrones' Season 7 News And Update: Liam Cunningham, Davos Seaworth Actor, Trains With UFC Coach

Apart from bloody assassinations and nudity, Game of Thrones is also noted for its epic battle scenes. In Season 6, battle-hardened Ser Davos Seaworth just proved that his fighting days aren't over yet. As the world awaits for Season 7, Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos, is going hard core as he trains with Conor McGregor's UFC coach John Kavanagh for a highly anticipated large battle scene in the next season.

As reported by the Metro, John Kavanagh's Twitter and Instagram posts showed Cunningham pushing his training to the next level. The mixed martial arts coach mentioned that he is giving Ser Davos some octagon lessons for weaponless combat in the upcoming battle of epic proportions. He further teased that Davos would still be a dangerous opponent even without his sword.

Kavanagh has worked with other Game of Thrones cast members before. But he is largely known as Conor McGregor's coach. He also trained Mountain Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, TMZ reported. It can be fairly said that that the MMA coach has done quite a good job in shaping up these Game of Thrones actors for the series' bloody fighting scenes.

Ser Davos Seaworth is quite an interesting figure in the Game of Thrones series. He seems to have a humble background with no aristocratic lineage to speak of. But for some reason, he finds himself in the company of powerful people in situations that common people could only dream of. Also, he can be an unlikely diplomat with respectable persuasive skills. As opposed to most characters in the series, Davos do not demonstrate anything that suggest a real drive for power making him the best wingman a leader could have.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Hodor might return to the series in the next season. In an interview by The Independent with Kristian Nairn who plays Hodor, there are indications that he might have return to the Game of Thrones set in the Season 7.

The Hodor actor teased that Season 7 will be even more explosive that Season 6 with more dragons and White Walkers. He also shared that he would love to play Hodor as a White Walker although seeing him as a zombie can be a painful thing to watch for some viewers.
