The 'Secret of Life' would be making its nationwide debut on July 8, with a lot of positive sentiments around its success. Being the latest production from the veteran Illumination Entertainment, which is known to produce super hits such as Despicable Me and Minions, the 'Secret Life of Pets' has all the ingredients for a grand success.
The casting team includes high budget casts standing up to the challenge and expectations. Celebrities Albert Brooks, comedian Louis C.K, Kelvin Hart, Jenny Slate and many others have lent their voices to the movie being directed by the same duo from Despicable Me films.
According to reports, the film has been released around mid-June in countries such as Norway, Iceland, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom giving a chance to overseas fans and critics to voice their opinion and reviews to the plot. There have also been comparisons drawn to films such as Disney's Zootopia and Toy Story.
However, there had been mixed reviews on YouTube with viewers relating to the story of animal lives to be old. The film shows two dogs Max and Duke, who become close friends when Max was introduced to Duke's family. The movie revolves around the challenges they faced, and how they overcame those. The plot, though touted to be pretty basic, have generated a fair amount of interest due to the majestic and high-quality graphics used.
Other than that, the plausibility of a couple of jokes was questioned as well, as the reference to drug use could not gel well with the fact that it is a children movie.
The production of the film has incurred an expenditure of $75 million. Early looks at the trailer suggest that the film is rich in graphics, being a culmination of the best factors of a mobile puzzle game.
