For quite a while, there was no buzz regarding the upcoming season 6 of 'American Horror Story'. And it looked like there might be nothing for some more time.
However, good news has arrived. The official premiere date for Season 6 has been announced and it will air on 14 September 2016, on FX cable network. A special logo for the season has been also released and it has a very cryptic look. Many are saying that the logo is an indication that the season will be about the Anti-Christ as it has an association with the number 6.
The real symbolic meaning of the number 6 is actually related with 666, as it is considered to be the sign of the devil and the son of the devil. Apart from the Anti-Christ connection, there are also hints that it will have the 'children' element. Creator Ryan Murphy has spoken about it and the logo strengthens the belief.
What is more, Murphy has also said that he is not content doing just one season of the show in the current year. He has a fall season in mind followed up by a spring season so that the horror show could have a round-the-year presence on FX.
As for the theme of the season, it is still shrouded in mystery. Also, there is no truth in the popular theory that it would be about the internet horror sensation Slender Man. The producers and sources close to the show have clearly debunked it.
But actor Evan Peters' statement that he would like to revisit Tate Langdon has incited the curiosity of the fans and they are wondering if it would find a place in the two-season vision of creator Murphy. Many think that Murphy's indication about the children element in season 6 has got to do with Tate Langdon.
It is worth mentioning here that the role of Tate Langdon, a teenage psychiatric patient, had impressed everyone in the first season. It remains to be seen if he makes a comeback and gives us the goosebumps one more time.
