In a previous report last year, it was noted that "Tekken 7" vanilla version was released across various arcades worldwide. Now, Bandai Namco finally released "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," in Japanese and Korean arcades, last Tuesday.
The gamers will be excited to see Akuma, a crossover character from "Street Fighter," in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution." However, rather than being excited the "Tekken" experts are worried that the new character is almost invincible. But the players who have already played with Akuma reveal that this seemingly "hard to beat" character has weaknesses of his own. The players have to find this weakness, exploit it and emerge victorious.
Meanwhile, in a separate report, the gamers are increasingly annoyed with Capcom's "Street Fighter 5" due to input lag in its PlayStation version. To put the matter at rest, "Tekken 7" director, Katsuhiro Harada, questions those upset with the input lag about their respective knowledge in this matter. He also shot back at the gamers asking them even if they know what input lag is and how it works.
"It's quite frustrating to keep hearing this question, when it is hardly relevant. Don't try to sum up the whole of a game's mechanics with one catchphrase," Harada said. "Tekken 7 is the first arcade fighting game to have online play between arcades around the country. It costs roughly $1 per play. Do you really think it would be this successful and well received if everyone was complaining about input lag?"
