When "Red Dead Redemption 2" was announced to be released in E3 2016 in Los Angeles, it instantly made headlines and the fans hopeful. However, the much-hyped "RDR 2" trailer launch was cancelled as it featured violent scenes. The previous reports indicate that it was in the wake of recent Orlando shooting incident.
Now the fans are waiting in unison for Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games to officially announce "Red Dead Redemption 2." However, if recent rumors are to be believed, the game will feature multiplayer mode.
Many fans were expecting that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be announced during recent Xbox One conference and E3 2016. However, the game remained a no-show and now its future is reportedly bleak at best.
To make matters worse, Sony PlayStation's Third Party Relations & Developer Technology Group vice president, Adam Boyes, revealed that that "RDR 2" was not canceled due to Orlando Shootings because Sony had no plans to unveil the game in the first place. Boyes also insisted that there were no changes made to the conference agenda that had been finalized for months. "No, this is not true," Boyes posted on Twitter. "The length and content we showed has been locked and unchanged for months."
Take Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, announced sometime ago that the studio will be coming to E3 2016 event "big way." While Zelnick never talked about unveiling a new game, many fans believed that it is about the upcoming "RDR 2."
According to PlayStation Lifestyle journalist, the company didn't reveal anything more than "Mafia III."
"Many people are of the view that the Days Gone demo at the end replaced the Red Dead reveal," the journalist said. "What makes the rumor even more interesting is that Take-Two said a while ago that it would be at E3 in a 'big way' but so far, we haven't seen anything from the company (except Mafia III) that we would consider 'big' unless Take-Two was simply talking about its presence on the show floor."
