Pokémon GO Release Date News: Finally You Can Get Pokémon Go Now in the US for Android and iOS

Pokémon Go is a free augmented-reality game for Android and iPhone .

John Hanke, founder of Niantic, said: "For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world. Imagine discovering a Squirtle hiding along the waterfront in San Francisco, a Bulbasaur at Shinjuku Station or a Pikachu beneath the Eiffel Tower."

Finally Pokémon Go is now available in the US for iOS and Android while Pokémon Go first started populating in app stores in Australia and New Zealand already from yesterday. The App Store url can be seen here.

"Because the game involves numerous people playing in multiple countries at the same time, we have a lot to test before we publicly launch. This is why we are asking for your help," says the official announcement, reported on PC Mag. "We would love for you to - if selected - download the field test version and play it. Your regular gameplay and feedback will help us iterate, polish and make the game launch-ready."

However, it is not clear at this time when Pokémon Go will be available in Japan, Canada, the UK, or other countries.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have been silent about the release date for a while, and representatives from the two companies only hinted during E3 livestream last month implying the game would be released some time in July.

Meanwhile, those that plays "Pokémon GO" must remember that the game has a bad issue of eating up phone's battery quickly, among other "known issues" that Niantic Labs had posted.
