"Pokémon GO" is a game designed specifically for mobile devices and is already raking in the coveted spot, in terms of popularity. While it is a good thing for Niantic Labs that their game is already on the first spot, it definitely bad for its servers.

Just three days into the game release and the high number of users who want to download the game has caused its servers to fail. The game release has already been successfully tested in America, Australia, and New Zealand. But as the game rolled out in United Kingdom and Netherlands, the problems started to arise. As a result, the company had to pause its worldwide release.

John Hanke, CEO, recognized the problem and also appreciates the interest their game by players all over the world. "We thought the game would be popular, but it obviously struck a nerve," Hanke said.

Niantic is in the process of fixing the problem and will have the game up and running by Thursday. Although, the players will have to wait longer before the company finally relases the game for its fans.

Amazon CTO, Werner Vogels, tweeted jokingly that Amazon Web Services will be happy to cloud-host "Pokémon GO" So that he can also get his hands on drowzee.
