'Suits' Season 6 News & Update: Mike to Reunite with Rachel After Getting Out of Prison

When Mike (Patrick J Adams) decided to turn himself in for a two-year prison sentence, it shocked the fans. Season 6 will show Mike behind the bars and the show will witness huge changes. In a recent interview, "Suits" stars Rick Hoffman, Patrick J Adams, and Sarah Rafferty reveal small snippets about the upcoming season.

Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) in "Suits" revealed that season will be a "whole new world." "We've got a whole new location - that's a massive change." Hoffman, playing the character of Louis Litt, said that season 6 will feel like a "different show" that even the show cast will have to readjust to when they get back to work. However, for Adams (Mike), the show will get more intense. The viewers will be able to enjoy a few light moments with Louis' idiosyncrasies, bringing some relief in the drama.

"There isn't a lot of room for joking around when you're in prison, trying not to die. But the rest of the show has found a really good way to balance that out," Adams said.

Meanwhile, Rachel and Mike's romance will take the backburner as Mike is in prison. In fact, there have been rumors that the two will go their separate ways in season 6. Previous reports indicated that Rachel (Meghan Markle) will start dating her ethics professor at Columbia Law. Report also hinted that her new love interest will help her hone her legal skills, both inside and outside of the classroom.

However, Adams says that Mike and Rachel will reunite after he gets out of prison. However, it is not known when that will happen as he is rumored to stay incarcerated throughout season 6.

"For fans of that relationship, they'll be a little sad not to be getting more of it this season, but ultimately I think they're building up to what will probably be a big reunion when and if he gets out of prison," Adams said.

"Suits" Season 6 premieres on Wednesday, July 13 on USA network.
