After a gap of two years, 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' returned to Bravo TV on Sunday night. And let us admit it, more than anything else, all of us were eager to see the comeback of housewife Teresa Giudice on the season 7 premiere. After all, she was reuniting with her family after being away from them for eleven and a half months.
And what an emotional comeback it was! It was difficult not to empathize with her despite the fact that the fraud charges were real. The sight of her daughters clinging to her and Teresa tightly hugging them was really heartbreaking. It was tough to contain one's tears when we saw the youngest daughter Audriana chuckling with delight about mommy's homecoming. The poor girl does not know why mommy was away.
Everyone could feel the pain the eldest Gia went through in the absence of her mother. Her pent-up anguish came out as the teenager embraced her mother and cried her heart out. The ordeal was really unfair on her as she had to become the mother of her three little sisters when she herself was barely fourteen. It was really too much of a responsibility for a girl of her age.
For the first time, one realized how tough it had been for her family to go through the legal trouble. But the ordeal is not yet over as Teresa's husband Joe will now move to the prison as he has to serve his term. He was also found guilty of fraud. Well, looks like there is more of family drama in store for us.
The teaser at the end of the episode did show their otherwise composed daughter Milania in tears, at the prospect of bidding farewell to her father. As for other housewives, it would be exciting to watch them too. Melissa Gorga is excited about her new entrepreneurial adventure and Jacqueline Laurita is back into action. The new housewives Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania also look promising.
'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' airs every Sunday on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET.
