The upcoming movie of DC Universe 'Wonder Woman' is one of the most-awaited releases as all are eager to watch the female superhero in action. Fans of the heroine are keen to hear about her and now that the movie has finished production, Warner Brothers have released an important update.
They have revealed the plot synopsis of the movie in their press release for the Comic-Con, scheduled to take place next week, in San Diego. It says that 'Wonder Woman' will hit theaters next summer on 2 June 2017 and will see Gal Gadot returning as the titular character. The epic action-adventure is being directed by Patty Jenkins and tells the story of the female superhero who was previously Diana, princess of the Amazons.
She has been trained to become an invincible warrior on a sheltered island paradise but destiny has more for her. When an American pilot's plane crashes on her shores and he tells her about the danger and the conflict raging in the outside world, she is determined to leave her secluded island. Diana is convinced that she can stop the threat. And when she jumps into action, fighting side by side with a man, she discovers her full powers and also comes face to face with her true destiny.
The screenplay of the film has been written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns. It is inspired by a story by Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg. The character of Wonder Woman is based on her DC character and was created by William Moulton Marston. Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Charles Roven, Richard Suckle, Rebecca Roven, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, and Geoff Johns are the executive producers while Warner Bros is the worldwide distributor.
Apart from the plot synopsis, there is more coming in the soon-to-be-held Comic-Con. The DC booth will have talent signings and costume displays of 'Wonder Woman' and 'Suicide Squad.' Other projects of Warner Bros. like 'The LEGO Batman Movie', 'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword', 'Fantastic Beasts, and Where to Find Them' will also make appearances.
