Fans of Star Wars: Episode VIII, the epic soap opera film, slated to hit theaters next year in December, will be glad to know that Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley have finished shooting for their parts.
The duo took to social media to make this public and also expressed their gratitude for the wonderful experience they had working with the crew. Ridley posted an image of herself dressed as Rey, holding the Luke Skywalker's lightsaber and captioned it with the words: My heart is brimming.
Well, the actress has been posting updates from the movie and most of them are about her intense workout videos. The lightsaber duel also makes occasional appearances and it seems that her character will have a somewhat different look in the upcoming movie. Reports claim that Ridley was heard saying that she had to hide her new hairstyle.
As for Mark Hamill, he also expressed his gratefulness on Instagram. Notably, last week, he had posted a joke on Twitter and it said that he had shaved off his beard, which is a contractual obligation. Shaving it off sparked off rumors that he was done with the filming. And now he has confirmed the rumor.
In his Instagram post, the actor voiced his nostalgia. He wrote that saying goodbye is hard when you've had the time of your life. He also thanked the cast and crew and said that he could not have done it without their support. However, this does not mean that the duo did not have fun on the sets. They had loads of it.
A wrap-up party was organized for their farewell and they celebrated with dancing stormtroopers. The dance troupe Boogie Storm was reportedly called to be part of the celebrations and they danced to the tunes of Star Wars-inspired music, in their stormtrooper costumes.
Well, the wrap-up of Ridley and Hamill is one significant development for the movie and fans must be delighted to hear about it. But the plot is still under wraps and no one knows what adventures and mystery the epic saga have in store for us.
