Fans can expect to see the last of one of the stars of the "Outlander" Season 3 show. This was confirmed in a recent interview with Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore.
Hence, it is the end of the TV series world for Frank (Tobias Menzies), "relatively soon" said Moore, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Frank might be spotted again in the coming season, but following that there would be just some "occasional flashbacks" to Black Jack and Frank.
Their presence "pretty much ends in book 3," Moore said. After "Dragonfly in Amber" was adapted, a new storyline in the series titled "Voyager" was targeted.
The plot is expected to expand much beyond the third book written by Diana Gabaldon.
Outlander 2 had ended with the final scene of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) as a much older woman with a grown up daughter. There will now be a much older Jamie (Sam Heughan) in the coming season. However, other characters will also be viewed through flashback, said a report by EOnline.
Brianna and Roger will be seen again in the coming episodes. Their last few scenes in the final Outlander 2 season had been a hit with most fans, who are now looking forward to viewing a lot more of the stars.
A number of characters will not be seen anymore. Moore confirmed that in "Outlander" Season 3, he would miss Duke of Sandringham (Simon Callow), a "great character". He would "lament his loss."
In the next season, some flashbacks can capture the events of the Battle of Culloden, which will show the events that occurred with the Scottish warrior Jamie.
Viewers can visit new "exotic locations" and meet some new characters. However, it is not goodbye to Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin), who will actually feature in a number of scenes.
