The cast and crew of 'Fifty Shades Darker' were confirmed to be safe after the horrifying attacks in Nice on July 14 and now the team prepares to wrap up the final scenes of the sequel.
According to reports, lead actors Jaime Dornan and Dakota Johnson were spotted moving to their waiting cast vehicles in the South of France. Both waved to the photographers as they came outside and proceeded to head towards their vehicles. While Johnson was seen sporting a grey T-shirt with a pair of denim shorts and Birkenstock sandals, Dornan looked cool in a white polo shirt, dark blue pants and grey sneakers.
Notably, the cast was deemed to be in grave danger when the Nice attacks took place as they were shooting in the city near the location where the attacks took place. Reports also claim that scenes were shot near the tragic site but the team had wrapped up filming before evening, when the deadly truck drove through a crowd of people, killing 84 and leaving 120 injured.
As the incident came into the news, concerns were raised about the safety of the crew. But after film's producer Dana Brunetti confirmed on Facebook that everyone was safe, fans and followers heaved a sigh of relief. And now it looks like the team is all set to put the incident on the backburner and resume work.
They have been filming in the French Riviera for a week and in some time will head off to Paris to finish the remaining scenes of 'Fifty Shades Darker.' The sequel to the erotic drama is slated to hit theatres on 10 February 2017 and the third instalment 'Fifty Shades Freed' has a release schedule of 9 February 2018.
'Fifty Shades Darker' is one of the most highly-awaited releases of 2017 and it tells the story of Christian (Jaime Dornan) who is fighting hard to come to terms with his inner demons. Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) is also facing challenges as she must confront the wrath and envy of the women who preceded her in Christian's life.
