After being sidelined for a while, the iPhone 7 Pro is making news again. Rumors of three-phone launch this year are doing rounds with reports suggesting the 'Pro' model will feature dual-camera setup.
Talk of Apple launching three iPhones this year has been around since January when KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Pro. It was also then predicted iPhone 7 Pro will feature dual cameras to improve low light performance, simultaneous video, photo capture and offer better image quality. New leaks confirm what was predicted and if proved true, could help Apple make an aggressive sales pitch.
The leaked images shared on Chinese social media website Weibo showed three phones. The 4.7-inch iPhone and 5.5-inch iPhone Plus feature single-lens cameras and the iPhone 7 Pro featuring dual-lens camera. That's not all. If the images prove true, iPhone 7 Pro could also feature a Smart Connector.
iPhone 7 leaks have increased in number in recent weeks and all reports have described the phone in similar ways, suggesting the leaks could be authentic. We now nearly know everything about the iPhone 7; it will resemble the iPhone 6/6S, will feature improved camera systems, rounded antenna, does not have headphone jack and Apple has included a second speaker with grille.
Recent leaks have shown just how similar this year's iPhone is to that of last two years.
Anticipation of iPhone 7 being a disappointment with its lackluster dated design notwithstanding, the phone has a lot going for it. For one, it will feature a new chip under the hood and more RAM. A battery bigger than what its predecessors had will power the phone even as the device could be made water and dust proof. Then there is speculation of Apple including wireless charging capabilities and the much-touted improved camera. With the iPhone 7 Pro up its sleeve, it looks like Apple could pull itself out of the slump it witnessed in its sales history.
