“Batman vs. superman” production is slated to begin early 2014 and film producer Wesley Coller is spilling details about the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel.
In an interview with ComingSoon.net, Coller spoke about the backlash “Batman vs. Superman” production received after the news of Ben Affleck casting hit social media.
“Anything you do that’s culturally significant," Coller told ComingSoon.net. "Or any time you deal with an iconic character or story, you’re going to hear responses from every possible perspective… If anything, that gauges the relevance of a property or character, and it’s invigorating to know people care that much. It inspires you to make the coolest version of the movie that you can. Ben is the perfect fit for Zack’s vision for this story.”
Coller also talked to ComingSoon.net about the cast's newest addition to the DC superhero movie, Wonder Woman.
“[My daughter’s] favorite book is this little Wonder Woman flip book,” Coller told the site. “It has the lasso, the invisible plane, the bracelets – every page has an image she’s just in awe with. And something that’s become a reality, being a dad with a new daughter, is that I have a special place in my heart for the idea of a strong, empowered female superhero being out there.”
Coller was asked if Wonder Woman would eventually have her own movie, but the producer neither confirmed nor denied the potential of a spinoff film.
However, with a cool new vision in mind, "Batman vs. Superman" costume designer Michael Wilkinson spilled details to Cinemovie.tv about the new Wonder Woman costume for Gadot and Affleck’s Batsuit.
"We are now in the stage where we're refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting," Wilkinson told Cinemovie.tv.
The “Man of Steel” sequel is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
