The royalty has always been too busy with events and ceremonious attendances, as the world is well aware. So Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Prince Harry will not be dropping into the Rio 2016 Olympics in the coming month.
"It was under consideration at some point that some or one of them might go, but for a whole range of reasons they are not going," a royal source said.
However, the absence is probably because they do not want to share the ground with Zika visitors. As there are rumours of Princess Kate being pregnant, she may have decided not to risk attending a country where she may stand in danger of contracting the virus, say the speculations.
Meanwhile, Kate's sister Pippa Middleton and her fiancé, James Matthews, are continuing to prepare for their wedding. Will their ceremony be as grand as the wedding of the Duchess of Cambridge? Maybe, maybe not. But one of the fallouts of the preparation for the wedding is the rumour about the alleged feud between Kate and Pippa. Reportedly, Pippa is "fed up with Kate's judgmental attitude."
"During a heated discussion, Kate expressed how unhappy she is because of James 'uncouth' family connections. She believes they will try to cash in on the royal family," a source said. "Kate goes out of her way to portray herself as the perfect princess and is petrified the fame-hungry Pippa is going to ruin everything."
Other sources, however, have rubbished these allegations. But whether all these are true or merely leftover gossip rags warmed up again and again is not clear.
