Did ‘Bachelor’ 2016 Split with Fiancée Lauren Bushnell?

According to reports, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are gearing up for the approaching reality show, "Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After." The new show will chronicle the couple's wedding arrangements and their plans for the future, as reported by Parent Herald.

However, even though it is unlikely for Ben Higgins to make individual appearances at the events, especially now that they are promoting their upcoming show, Higgins appeared at the "Celebrity Family Feud," another show aired by the same network, without his fiancée in tow.

There are also rumors that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell may go separate ways, ever since "The Bachelor" 2016 confirmed his plans for political candidacy. Higgins is, allegedly, trying to enter into the Colorado House of Representatives in the forthcoming elections.

It does seem like a smart move, career wise; however, Higgins' relationship with Bushnell may hit a roadblock. His confirmed candidacy could either mean that their wedding plans will be pushed back, or worse, cancelled. But for now, neither of the two have confirmed the reports about their speculated separation.

Meanwhile, there are also reports indicating that ABC Network has insisted Ben Higgins to forgo his political ambitions and focus on his marriage with Bushnell instead. Hence, when "the Bachelor" 2016 withdrew his candidacy for Colorado House of Representatives, several fans were shocked. ABC, however, insists that they had nothing to do with Higgins' decision to withdraw his candidature. "Freeform simply shared with Mr. Higgins its concern that broadcasting and promoting a show featuring a campaign for Colorado state office could raise significant compliance issues under Colorado election laws," ABC told The Blaze.
