Amongst the millions of fans for ABC's political drama "Scandal," one name that has come up is that of singer Mariah Carey. The high profile singer has admitted about her liking for the series. Moreover, actor Tony Goldwyn has revealed that the upcoming season is going to be simply good.
Carey confessed that she is a big fan of the Scandal series, while she spoke to reporters at the Television Critics Association's press tour. She further stated that she watches the show over and over, on Netflix.
Carey was also asked about her favorite Olivia Pope moment to which she mentioned that she has many such moments from the series. She further stated that she really liked when Mellie and Pope became friends and sat together on the floor, enjoying the moonshine. However, she did not like the kidnapping part.
Well, going by Carey's observation, it is worth mentioning here that the singer seems to an ardent fan of the show. But, with the upcoming season scheduled to premiere in 2017, she will have to wait for quite some time before the show returns on ABC.
In other news, it has been revealed that Scandal Season 6 will be shorter than the other seasons. However, a better news is that the season is going to be great. And, actor Tony Goldwyn has revealed that fans can expect season 6 to be "unbelievably good." According to Goldwyn, creator Shonda Rhimes along with her writers have been doing a great job and inspite of having run for five years, the storyline is still fresh which ups the quality of the show. Goldwin was all praise for the creator.
The upcoming season will also have a fresh storyline for Goldwyn, who plays President Fitz in the TV series, as he is all set to leave his position as the President.
The reason behind the delay for Season 6 is Kerry Washington's pregnancy. Washington plays Olivia Pope, the lead character and thus, the creators need to schedule the filming cautiously, without causing any difficulty for a pregnant Washington.
