Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa's concert in Southern New Jersey on Friday was forcibly stopped when a large portion of the railings collapsed resulting to the injury of a reported 42 concertgoers who fell off to the concrete floor.
The incident at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden reportedly happened at 10pm in time when the performers were halfway in their concert.
In a viral video, Snoop and the Black and Yellow rapper urged the video to 'Stand Up' when the railings, designed to separate the audience from sloping lawn leading to the center of the venue, got damaged and stunned the unexpecting crowd. The people were then seen in a frenzy as they tumble on top of each other.
It can also be seen that security of the BB&T Pavilion in Camden came to the rescue asking people to 'remain calm' and assuring them that the 'concert will start again soon.' But it was reported that the organizers decided to cancel it.
Hip hop artists, Snoop and Whiz were also ushered out from the area as the security tried to contain the situation.
A source said that around 50 people fell about three metres (10 feet) onto concrete. The Camden County Metro Police spokesman, however, declared that 10 to 15 people were hurt. Forty-two people were also declared to be taken to the hospital with most of them suffering from broken bones and bumps and bruises.
An emergency area was also set up in the stadium's car park where cots and stretchers were installed to rescue injured concertgoers.
The concert at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden is part of the Snoop Dogg and Whiz Khalifa's Merry Jane Presents Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa: The High Road Tour.
Sources are yet to reach out to the Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker for his comment on the incident. Snoop also did not talk about the incident in his social media page. Rather, he posted a black-and-white selfie with a rather sad look on his face minutes after the incident.
