'Wolf On Wall Street' Called 'Disgusting' By Academy Judge (TRAILER)

Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street" screening for the judges at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Saturday night contained a mix of reviews and some comments aimed at the director and main cast members, according TheWrap.com.

According to a Facebook post by Hope Holiday the screening of the film at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater was "three hours of torture."

"[L]ast night was torture at the Academy - 'The Wolf Of Wall Street' - three hours of torture - same disgusting crap over and over again - after the film they had a discussion which a lot of us did not stay for - the elevator doors opened and Leonardo D. Martin S. and a few others got out then a screen writer ran over to them and started screaming - shame on you - disgusting -

"

A Paramount rep present at the screening denied any one screamed at the director but did say there were "negative" comments made while the director, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and the writer Terence Winter were on their way to a press conference after the screening, according to the TheWrap.com.

Holiday wouldn't disclose the identity of the person who allegedely screamed at Scorsese but said the screenwriter's critism was "a shocker" and "very awkward and embaressing," TheWrap.com reported. She added that some people did applaud the film, others "hated it."

In an interview with TheWrap.com on Friday, Scorsese said "It's brutal, I've seen it with audiences, and I think it plays. I don't know if it will be to everyone's taste - I don't think it will. It's not made for 14 year olds."

Holiday, a 75-year-old actress, isn't the first to crtisize a Scorsese film, TheWrap.com reported. In the 1995 screening of Scorsese's "Casino," one judge stood up and screamed "disgusting! Pornography! Crap," before leaving in the middle of the film.
