Looks like Kristen Stewart is maturing day after day. The "Twilight" actress has bared her heart about her much-publicized relationship with ex Robert Pattinson and said that people wanted them as a couple so badly that their relationship was made into a product.
During a recent interview, the 26-year-old actress said that dating Pattinson taught her a lesson about what happens when personal and professional identities are mixed. According to her, their relationship did not remain real after the public exposure and that felt gross to her.
She clarified that she does not want to hide who she is or anything that she is doing in her life, but it is also true that she does not want to become a part of a story for entertainment value. Stewart was her candid best in the interview and acknowledged the fact that she is a public figure and therefore, audiences will be interested in her love life.
Talking about her current relationship with girlfriend Alicia Cargile, she said that she could never talk about any of her relationships before.
Nonetheless, once she started dating girls, it dawned upon her that there was an opportunity to represent something really positive. She also admitted to being protective about her personal life but does not want to seem like she is being so and therefore, she does feel as though she owes something to people.
It is worth mentioning here that Pattinson and Stewart started dating on the sets of "Twilight" and dated for around 5 years before splitting in 2013 when she was caught cheating on him. Since then, the two have moved on in their personal lives. Pattinson is with FKA Twigs and Stewart is dating Alicia Cargile. Of late, rumors of the latter's marriage has also been doing the rounds and it is said that wedding bells might ring soon.
