If you thought Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo's wedding will consume next season of Counting On, you're wrong. Jessa Duggar's second pregnancy could become the major draw.
Pregnancy rumors are never really far from Duggar women and fans usually can tell who's due next. This time though, Jessa Duggar pulled off a fast one. The reality star announced her pregnancy, leaving those who were expecting her sister Jill to make a similar announcement, surprised. Incidentally, the announcement comes on the eve of second season of 'Counting On'.
Jessa, 23 and husband Ben Seewald, 21, are parents to 9-month-old Spurgeon. The couple has revealed in the past they would like to adopt but it looks like they have gone the Duggar way to increase their brood. Jessa Duggar announced her pregnancy through People and said the baby is due February next year.
Fans expected Jill Dillard to announce 'baby number 2' as some images suggested she may be pregnant. The Dillards arrived in the US earlier this month amidst rumors Mrs. Dillard is pregnant. An official announcement is pending.
Pregnancies, births and child-rearing have been instrumental in keeping fans hooked to the Duggar's popular show '19 Kids and Counting' which was pulled off air in 2015, after word of Josh Duggar's sexual escapades got out. TLC stopped airing the show owing to advertiser pressure but followed it up with Counting On.
The show has not tasted the success of 19 Kids and its fate remained uncertain before TLC announced it would renew it for a second season, which airs tonight. In a promo, the channel teased fans with snippets from Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo's relationship. Incidentally, it was only earlier this month the couple revealed they were courting.
With Jessa Duggar's announcement, the excitement factor for Duggar loyalists has doubled. The timing of the announcement and its proximity to the premier of second season is also suggestive of Duggar family's efforts to gain lost fame. It remains to be seen if it will work. Is Jill Duggar listening?
