Man Dressed As Santa Robs Bank In Florida (VIDEO)

A man dressed as Santa Claus robbed a SunTrust Bank in Port Orange, Florida on Monday, CNN reported.

In surveillance footage, the man, dressed in a Santa hat, white beard, and sunglasses, hands a bank teller a gift-wrapped package along with a note that said it was harmful and demanded cash. He did not have a weapon, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Authorities said he walked away with money but did not include how much. He left the package by the teller, left the bank, and drove away in a dark vehicle.

Police said the SunTrust branch was immediately evacuted following the incident and searched by the Volusia County bomb squad. After investigating the package, authorities determined it did not contain an explosive device.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber is described as around 6 feet tall and in his 30s or 40s.

On Saturday, a man wearing a "fake Santa beard" robbed a PNC Bank in Maryland.

"He walked into the bank and fired off a round" armed with a handgun, said police spokesman Pete Piringer. "He was very quick, didn't have to spend too much time in there."

No one was injured during the Maryland bank robbery either.
