Nina Dobrev is all set to return to the "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. This is great news for fans who were waiting to see their favorite pair, Elena and Damon (played by Ian Somerhalder), together on the supernatural drama again.
According to reports, the Mark Pedowitz, the network boss revealed that Elena will be back to the Mystic Falls, at the 2016 TCS Summer Press Tour. He stated that the actress and the team are in talks about her return to The CW series and they would love to have her back.
Well, Dobrev's return to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 was being speculated for quite some time and Julie Plec, the executive producer had also previously said that Dobrev has shown her interest in reprising her role and would be back.
While talking to reporters, Pedowitz further revealed that Plec has planned a great finale episode for the series. And, with the return of the 27 years old actress, it is pretty evident that the final installment of "The Vampire Diaries" will come to a delightful end.
Talking about the show ending post Season 8, Pedowitz stated that the decision was a collective one.
It is worth mentioning here that though fans are quite elated with Dobrev's return, her co-star Somerhalder, is not that happy with her coming back to the show. The 37 years old actor is not at all keen to work with his ex-girlfriend again. He has also been questioning the producers about the necessity of bringing Dobrev back in the finale season of "The Vampire Diaries."
In other news, it has also been said that the Dobrev's return to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is causing a rift between Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed.
