Video game fans have been going gaga after "Harry Potter Go," the mashup of "Pokemon Go" and "Harry Potter." Ever since the trailer of the proposed augmented reality game made it to the news circles, game lovers started speculating about its release but it looks like it is not happening anytime soon.
At present, the trailer made by Stargaze Media is the only thing that fans can resort to in order to satiate their curiosity, reports suggest. It is the closest thing that fans can get to see with respect to the said game. Their desires might be overflowing with curiosity, but the sad news is that Niantic, the game developer behind "Pokemon Go" as well as "Harry Potter Go" has not made any official announcement about the proposed mashup.
It has not even said anything about the idea being considered, leave alone anything about work-in-progress or release, which is quite understandable because the process requires many formalities to be completed. The most important thing is that the people behind "Harry Potter" franchise need to give their approval.
Even after the approval, it would take time to bring the game into the phase of development as many elements need to be combined to create a magical game. Issues would have to be fixed and new features added. It is certainly not going to be like the trailer. Still, there is hope as the idea of "Harry Potter Go" is quite interesting and holds immense potential for success.
It is worth mentioning here that Stargaze Media released a trailer of the yet-to-be-made game on YouTube a few weeks back and since the release, the proposed game has become a sensation on the internet. Fans are super excited at the prospect of experiencing the wizards of Hogwarts and the cool "Pokemon Go" mechanics in a single package.
The trailer suggests a game where players would catch beasts and monsters while collecting magic cards with their magic wands. It is a lot like using Pokeballs in "Pokemon Go." Also, players would get to choose one of the four Hogwarts houses and then they can begin their hunting mission.
