'The Originals' Season 4, News Update: Nina Dobrev Refuses To Star Alongside Ian Somerhalder

Fans of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder might be dying to see the pair together, but the duo does not have any desire to share screen space together. Nina has reportedly refused to work with her ex Somerhalder in the upcoming Season 4 of "The Originals."

According to reports, the actress has warned that she would not be joining the "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff if Somerhalder also gets cast in the fourth installment. Reportedly, the actress is very much willing to star in the CW's spinoff but is averse to the idea of working with Somerhlader.

She does not want to star opposite her ex as his marriage with Nikki Reed is currently undergoing troubles and she has no desire to associate herself with him when he is at a sensitive juncture in his life. As for Somerhalder, he is also not keen on working with her but the problem is that he needs work to sustain his career.

"The Vampire Diaries" is coming to an end this year as it has been announced that the eighth season will be the finale and after that Somerhalder would need some big project to keep going. "The Originals" is that very project and thus, he is under pressure, which is quite a contrast in comparison to Nina, who has a budding and bright Hollywood career in her kitty. It would not affect her much if she walks out of "The Originals."

Meanwhile, Paul Wesley and Somerhalder will be making cameo appearances in Season 4, reports claim. The twin love interests of Nina will be coming on the show as it is expected to take a time leap. The two are important characters on the spinoff series and their involvement is crucial for unraveling the mysteries and secrets that have been revolving around the show ever since it premiered.

Well, it remains to be seen how things work out for Nina and Ian. She might not want to come together with him but if she does, it is definitely going to be a delight for fans and viewers.
