Conte, who also tried to sign Cuadrado from Fiorentina as Juventus manager in 2014 - only to be beaten by Chelsea that time, hasn't featured the midfielder in Chelsea's first three opening league games. The manager opted to clarify first the player's situation
Cuadrado's loan transfer to Juventus has required the Serie A champions to splash out a loan fee amounting to €5m yearly. The Turin-based side also has the option to purchase the midfielder for €25m, plus €4m in add-ons, as per ESPN's report.
Juventus confirmed Cuadrado's return in its statement: "Juventus Football Club can today confirm that an agreement has been reached with Chelsea for the loan of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello until 30 June 2019, for an annual consideration of €5 million."
"Juventus has the right to acquire the player on a permanent basis, or will be obliged to upon the achievement of agreed team results during the loan period, for a fee of €25 million, payable in three financial years, minus the loan fees already paid."
"Should Juventus achieve certain sporting results during the player's contract of employment, the club will owe Chelsea an additional €4 million in contingent payments."
Chelsea, under Jose Mourinho, used Cuadrado sparingly when he first arrived from Fiorentina in a deal worth £26m. Ex-manager Jose Mourinho started him only four times, prompting his loan move with Juventus in August 2015.
In Cuadrado's absence, Conte will have to utilize Chelsea's current attacking regimen to the fullest. Eden Hazard and Willian continue to take charge of the flanks, with both Pedro and Victor Moses serving them as periodic replacements.
