Nokia Reportedly Working on New Lumia 630; Features Dual SIM, Windows Phone 8.1 OS, On-Screen Buttons and More

Nokia is reportedly working on a new Lumia smartphone, codenamed "Moneypenny," packed with new features, such as dual SIM support, Windows Phone 8.1 OS and on-screen navigation keys.

Nokia is reportedly putting some finishing touches on its first Windows 8.1 handset with dual SIM support. Popular mobile tipster, @evleaks, brought the news of Nokia's two new Lumia smartphones, codenamed "Moneypenny" and "Goldfinger," earlier last month.

Following a month of hush on the subject, @evleaks struck again with a screenshot of what looked like Nokia Lumia 630's (Moneypenny) user interface.

The leaked image explains that the yet-to-be-announced Lumia smartphone runs on Windows 8.1 (Windows Blue), making it the first handset with the latest mobile OS. Nokia will also showcase dual SIM functionality in the Lumia 630 smartphone. The screenshot displays two call logs and two messaging tiles.

What's more? Nokia has ditched the traditional capacitive buttons in its latest iteration of Lumia handset, to replace it with on-screen buttons.

The new image is a reflection of Nokia's attempt to dominate the smartphone market. The dual-SIM functionality in the new phone also suggests these new entries will be focused to attract crowd in Asian and African market, where dual-SIM is very popular.

According to a report from Neowin, the Lumia 630 will support 3G only and a successor to this model, the Lumia 635 will support 4G LTE. PhoneAnera also looked into the details of the image to learn that the leaked Moneypenny will feature a 720p display.

Currently, there is no information on the release date or the pricing of the new Lumia 630.
