One of the biggest villains in the Avatar world, Capt Colonel Quaritch, played by Stephen Lang, along with Sigourney Weaver are definitely back on Avatar 2. Quaritch is also said to technically "part of everything" in the hit movie franchise' sequel.
Though it seems to be fairly impossible for Capt Colonel Quaritch to escape his doom as seen in Avatar, James Cameron, according to Christian Today, confirmed the reappearance of the character in the most awaited Avatar 2. He said, "His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga" .
On the other hand, James also revealed the reappearance of another character aside Capt. Quaritch in the upcoming Avatar 2. Sigourney Weaver which is to be recalled as one of the firsts to die in the Avatar movie. The director said that Sigourney's character is to be seen in "a different and in many ways, more challenging character."
In addition, Stephen Lang said in an interview with Mashable about his reported appearance in Avatar 2. He said, "Well, I can say because it's a matter of public record, that the character of Col. Quaritch is important in each films-Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5". This confirmed one way or another his part on the most awaited movie Avatar 2.
The actor just revealed recently that he has been reading the scripts for all the four films and that Avatar 2 is expected to start filming next year.
Stephen Lang also confirmed that the production team of Avatar 2 is already putting on their talent and hard work ahead of the filming, which seems to say that there seems to be a lot of things to work on in terms of Avatar 2 which is definitely aimed to satisfy its avid fans.
Avatar 2 is expected to be in theatres in December 2018.
