Netflix resets airing of 'Sense8' Season 2 due to budget constraint

Sense8 will not be part of Netflix's blocking for 2016 as reports disclosed that the show faced some production issues. The airing was pushed for another year.

According to Christian Times, the budgetary problems cropped up during the filming as Sense8 Season 2 is to be filmed in various countries across the globe, including Chicago, Mumbai, Brazil, and Italy. In addition to this, Sikander Kher, the newest addition to the show, is reported to ask Netflix a fee beyond the show's budget.

But Netflix is lip-tight about the rumoured cancellation.

Sense8 Season 1 has won various nominations including Dorian and HPA Awards for Campy Television Show and TV show of the year, and GLAAD Media Awards being the most Outstanding Drama Series. It is also noteworthy that the viewers provided excellent reviews, meaning that the show is technically far off the cancellation peak.

Social media accounts of Sense8 continued to update its fans about the show, which is one of the proofs that it is far from being cancelled. It just happened to be pushed back to 2017, as reported by Dark Horizons.

Sense8 is said to air a special episode by the end of the year prior to its premiere in 2017.
