2,000 Bags Of Heroin And Marijuana Discovered After Delaware Traffic Stop

Authorities in Delaware say a man abandoned 2,000 bags of heroin and marijuana in a parking lot after fleeing a traffic stop on Tuesday night, the Washington Post reported.

After a state trooper tried stopping a car in Millsboro, the car sped away and the officer lost sight of the vehicle. However, he soon located the car in a parking lot and stopped the driver there.

Once officers inspected the parking lot, they discovered two bags holding 34 grams of heroin in 2,292 baggies and 119 grams of marijuana. Additionally, a car search led to the discovery of another 46 grams of marijuana and $2,312. The driver also had $1,977 in his pocket.

Police charged Donald Hester, 35, with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal a lane change, and driving at an unreasonable speed.

He was transported to Sussex Correctional Institute on $65,802 bail.

Earlier this month, a traffic stop in Massachusetts led authorities to find 1,250 bags of heroin labeled as "OBAMA CARE."

The driver of the vehicle -- Tyler Robenstein, 23, of Colchester, Vt. -- was was charged with trafficking heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, speeding, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to change lanes for an emergency vehicle.

Robenstein's three passengers -- Ashley Beaulieu, 21, of Colchester, Vt., Marquese Jones, 22, of Newark, and Sherod Green, 21, of Newark -- were all charged with trafficking heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance.
