Dodge AWD-Hellcat challenger to be released 2017

It was Fiat Chrysler that unveiled an all-wheel drive version of Dodge Challenger. FC Authority revealed that the Challenger AWD Hellcat set to hit the market by the end of 2017.

The entire Challenger lineup is expected to be redesigned in 2018, which includes switching over to the lighter Giorgio platform like that of the Alfa Romeo Guilia.

It is unclear if Dodge intends to offer an all-wheel-drive Charger Hellcat as a companion to the Challenger ADR.

Dodge is reportedly planning a wide body version of the 707-horsepower SRT hellcat model called the Challenger ADR. The concept of original GT AWD used 5.7 liter Hemi V8 engine.

Dodge offers 6.4 liter and 6.2 liter Hemi V8 engines.

The platform adapted for Dodge Charger sedans also shares the same platform with Challenger and have offered all-wheel drive for many years.

According to Auto News, Charger and Challenger will be redesigned to the Giorgio platform in 2018, which will shed over 400 pounds and 500 pounds respectively from current model.

Barracuda model will share Charger/Challenger platform and is expected to debut in 2021.

The previous models of Dodge Challenger that were released gained a lot fame and booster feel to the owners. The design of the muscle car is pretty old when compared to its rival cars like Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang.

Dodge is expected to prepare a feature in its Challenger Hellcat which the rivalries do not have currently. Dodge is expected to unleash its new redesigned challenger car in coming future.
