The series first aired on Aug. 12 as a Friday and Saturday drama on tvN cable network. As it reached the second half, an unexpected twists appear and the story develops to be more complicated
"Cinderella and Four Knights" a story about love and family. It tells the story of an orphaned girl that meets four men who are very different from one another. According to Yonhap News Agency, it was a modern day adaptation of the classic fairy tale Cinderella.
"Cinderella and Four Knights" is based on a Korean novel written by Baek Myo and adapted into drama series by Min Ji-Eun and Won Young-Sil. The cast includes actress Park So-Dam, Jung Il-Woo, Ahn Jae-Hyun, Lee Jung-Shin and Choi Min.
The story is about an orphaned girl Eun Ha-won (Park) who was hired by a chaebol, the chairman of Kang enterprise, to work in his house the Sky House.
The chaebol has three grandsons, a lonely and rebelious Kang Ji-woon (Jung), a spoiled brat Kang Hyun-min (Ahn), a singer-songwriter Kang Seo-Woo (Lee). In order complicate the story, Lee Yoon-sung (Choi), the chairman's secretary is also in picture.
The drama has received a good rating for a cable TV drama with an average viewership rating of 3.4 percent in Seoul and 2.9 percent nationwide. They achieve highest rating on the third episode with 4.7 percent.
According to allkpop, actor Jung promised to treat his fans at a restaurant when the drama reaches 5 percent viewership rating.
As for the leading lady, Park is a very talented actress that gained first recognition in 2012 in the movies "The Silenced" that earned her Best New Actress award in four film festival. This year, she played in medical drama "Beautiful Mind" with veteran actor Jang Hyuk. The drama aired in KBS2 during June - August.
"Cinderella and Four Knights" is the second drama for Park in 2016.
