K-Drama 'Uncontrollably Fond' suffers popularity loss

In final episode, the main male character Joon-Young passed away due to brain tumor.

But fans lamented at the ending as the rating hit the lowest point, only under 7 percent. At first, the drama has scored 12 percent rating nationwide. But along the way, the rating continue to plunge, according to The Inquisitr.

"Uncontrollably Fond" suffered a popularity loss.

The drama was written by Lee Kyung-Hee whose 2004 story 'I am Sorry, I Love You" swept KBS Drama Awards in the same year. Lee is known for building intense emotion of the characters in every drama she wrote. He did the same in "Uncontrollably Fond" with Kim Woo-Bin and Bae Suzy as main characters.

The drama tells the story of a couple Shin Joon-young (Kim) and No Eul (Suzy) who were separated in their teenage years. Joon-Young came from a rich family while No Eul must endure a hardship growing up.

The emotion of both Joon-Young and No Eul were beautifully crafted by Lee. However Suzy failed to deliver it in No Eul's character maybe because of poor acting. Her acting was reported to be the main reason the viewership ratings decline, as reported by The Bit Bag.

Fans suspected that Suzy's bad acting is caused by her over jealousy to her boyfriend, actor Lee Min-Ho, in her first acting job. After finishing "Uncontrollably Fond" Suzy resumed her career as singer.

Meanwhile, later this month, Kim will begin touring Asia in a "2016 Kim Woo-Bin Fan Meeting Spotlight" to China, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. There is speculation that Kim will ask Suzy to accompany him on the tour.
