Honda Cars Philippines Inc. has launched its new crossover - the 2017 Honda BR-V at sixth Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
According to Car Bay, a well known Japanese car manufacturer launched its all new 2017 Honda BR-V in PIMS after getting a significance response in GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2016. The company is all set to gain the same response at PIMS after the launch of this new vehicle.
The new Honda BR-V is a seven seat crossover which was first launched in Thailand in 2015. The BR-V was branded as an 'Active Sport Crossover' featuring high-ground clearance together with a unique front and rear design.
The car is build with these specifications which grasped very good response earlier in Motor shows of Asian countries.
The exterior features of the car - measuring 4456mm long, 1736mm wide and 1665mm tall. The 201mm of ground clearance ensures a confident drive on the tricky and rocky conditions, the aesthetic appeal of the car comprise of Honda's Solid Wing Face grille, bold stance and character lines flowing till fog light at the bumper, rear spoiler, chrome roof rails, and 16-inch alloy wheels give it a sporty touch, back lamps incorporated with LED lights which make the car look like the current trending style.
According to Auto Industriya, the car is powered with 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine that delivers 117 PS maximum powers and 146 Nm peak torque and is further paired with Earth Dreams technology to give optimal fuel efficiency. The engine is mated to continuously variable transmission (CVT) and transmits the power to front wheels. The higher variant has a sport feel and performance as the variant is incorporated with Paddle shift.
The safety features include front airbags, ABS, EBD, Hill Start Assist, stability control, and speed sensing door locks.
The 2017 Honda BR-V comes in two variants 1.5 S CVT, priced at PhP 1,000,000 and 1,5 V CVT Navi, priced at PhP 1,150,000.
