One of Barack Obama's campaign field offices was shot at. No one was injured, no-one taken into custody yet.
A bullet came through the window pane around 3 p.m at the campaign offices located at West Ninth Avenue near Acoma Street. There were no injuries reported as everyone was working inside the offices when the incident took place.
"It looks like it was one shot that was fired into the structure," Denver Police Detective Raquel Lopez told reporters.
The shot broke a large panel of window glass. A worker from the offices called the police when the heard the shot.
A reporter from the alternative newspaper Westword, Sam Levin, updated a photo on twitter of a large, front broken window after the shot. By early evening the glass company fitted plywood in place of the broken glass window.
According to Lopez, investigators are looking into all the possibilities of the incident and following the leads.
They are also looking into the surveillance footage, but so far there has been no clear description of the vehicle or the person behind the shooting. There may be a "possible vehicle of interest" Lopez said.
Investigators are also not revealing any information related to the description of the vehicle.
"Right now, no one is in custody and investigators are looking at surveillance video to see if a vehicle can be identified," Lopez said.
There have been no threats made in the past relating the campaign and the incident was a shock.
An Obama campaign spokeswoman refused to comment anything on the incident and referred to question the police for that matter.
