Beyonce and Jay-z's divorce rumors made way in the spotlight during the summer this year when Bey made it as the main theme of her album Lemonade. The album, however, triggered other tirades including that attacking Rita Ora who allegedly slept with her husband and whom she addressed as 'Becky with the good hair' in the song Sorry.
In her latest interview with Vanity Fair, the British singer insisted that she is not the character being alluded to in Bey's song. And with this, she still holds high respect for both music icons.
"First and foremost, Jay Z is my inspiration and one of my idols-lyrically, musically, business-wise," Ora said. "I still look up to him and his wife every day. Beyoncé was one of my biggest idols growing up...As for the rest of it, I'm oblivious, I'm just not the gossip queen. I find it incredibly rude and disrespectful to women in general [when] we get accused of something that's basically against the important part-the music."
News sources, previously pointed out that Rita purportedly posted that controversial Snapchat clip where she was seen wearing a lemon-printed lingerie as a stance to lashed out at Bey's song. Also, she was seen with a 'Not Becky' pin while attending the Met Gala which further sparks furor surrounding her alleged involvement with Jay-Z.
The singer, however, denied saying, "That [pin] was a present from Katy Perry."
Beyonce never revealed her characters behind her song but since then, fans of the Bey-Hive cannot stop associating the 25-year old singer's name to the rumors.
Previously, Rita Ora got into a messy breakup in 2014. She also publicly dated Rob Kardashian which ended up rather nastily with the Kardashian brother revealing, "She cheated on me with 20 dudes."
She was also thought to have dated Travis Barker whom she has a 'few dramas' with.
