Is Harrison Ford’s 'Indiana Jones 5' cancelled?

The reactions of fans on the comeback news of Indiana Jones, without a doubt, is still as famous as when its first film debuted decades ago.

The last "Indiana Jones" film was released in 2008 but many fans were highly disappointed amid hitting box-office worldwide. Some fans even said that "Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" totally wrinkled the movie franchise.

This may be the reason why there are no rumors about the return of Indiana's son, Mutt, who was introduced in the movie. Actor Shia LaBeouf, who plays the role, seems to agree with this as he does not think the movie as a success.

Now, fans are hopeful that the movie franchise will redeem itself with a new movie worthy to be in line with the previous Indiana Jones movies.

Disney made all these hopes possible as they announced the return of the much-loved archeologist in March 2015, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It also confirmed the return of Harrison Ford as the main character and Steven Spielberg as the director.

But after all the hype and hope that Disney gave to the fans, will Indiana Jones 5 remain to be a rumor?

It has been months already after the announcement of a new movie installment, but up to now, no cast has been confirmed except for Harrison Ford. There are also no rumors regarding possible plots.

No need to worry, really. The movie is not due to start filming until 2018 for "Indiana Jones 5" to be released in theaters in 2019.

Actor Harrison Ford said in an interview with BBC, that he is happy with how things are going on for "Indiana Jones 5". Especially now that highly-acclaimed director Steven Spielberg is already developing a script they know they can be happy with.
