As iPhone 7 hype dies down, a lot of tech enthusiasts are now expecting that iMac 2016 will be the next Apple product in line and this is believed come out in October.
According to a report from MobileNapps, iMac 2016 is rumored to arrive in October while hinting that the computer will most likely sport a new set of upgraded features such as a relatively powerful graphics chip.
In addition to that, an article posted in Mac World mentioned that iMac 2016 will come with a better graphics chip compared to what its predecessor have. It also hinted that the Advanced Micro Devices or AMD, the company behind the production of ATI graphic cards, will collaborate with Apple to develop a powerful PC.
A Christian Daily article further revealed that there are rumors claiming that Apple will be supplied with AMD Radeon 400 Series Polaris graphics processing units (GPUs) by AMD.
In the event that these rumors are true, it simply indicate that the tech giant might also be considering the gamers as its target market. Such assumption can be considered feasible since the GPUs enables iMac users to play video games on the device.
Aside from that, IB Times disclosed that LG is also believed to be cooperating with the Cupertino-based company by providing monitors that support 5K resolution. Thus, this information further hinted that iMac 2016 will most likely be suited for gaming.
Finally, iMac 2016 is rumored to be equipped with the Kaby Lake processor from Intel which is also used on the Apple MacBook Pro 2016. Built in the event that Apple decides to push its plans of using this processor on the iMac 2016, this might possibly push the release date of the device to next year.
Just like in the case of other Apple devices, the tech giant has not yet announced any official information regarding the upcoming desktop model.
