"Dark Matter" returns with more mystery in Season 3; Season 2 ends this week

Science fiction series drama "Dark Matter" will come back for Season 3. The series about story of a group of people with lost memories who wakes up in a starship is to end season 2 this week will. The showrunners promise that the new season will come with more mystery.

"Dark Matter" is a science fiction mystery created by two creators of "Stargate" series trilogy Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, who are known for their ingenuity to develop science fiction mystery. The series is co-produced by Prodigy Pictures and Dark Horse Entertainment for Syfy network, based on the graphic novel of the same name according to Hollywood Reporter.

"Dark Matter" premiered June 12, 2015 and began its story from six people who wake up in a starship 'Raza' after a hibernation. They have a complete memory loss and they can not even remember their own name. So, they call themselves by number, one to nine. The drama stars Marc Bendavid, Melissa O'Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr. and Jodelle Ferland.

After the series' successful first season with 13 episode ended on Aug. 28, 2015, Syfy decided to renew the second season. The season two tells the story of nine of them to embark on the journey to find their true identities and recover their lost memories.

Showrunner Mallozzi has also confirmed for the 'Dark Matter" Season 3 in his blog post. He also shared a sneak-peek into the season finale air this weekend. Mallozzi is currently on a trip to Osaka, Japan.

The season finale will pick up on last week's episode. When one of the member, Four who had his memories and identity restored is Ryo Tetsuda, a son of Emperor Ishida Tetsuda who was recently murdered. Ryo was listed as the prime suspect. Later, Ryo discover that his step mother has taken control of his father's throne and plan to kill him and his team.
