Attack on Titan 2 Spoilers, News & Updates: Creators add romantic spice, fans await huge relationship developments?

The Attack on Titan 2 will most likely pick up where the first season left off. After a few years of waiting, fans are dying to see developments in the budding romance of the anime series' protagonist Eren Yeager with Kristal Lenz. Likewise, the creators might dedicate a few episodes to reveal the untold relation between Levi and Mikasa. It would be, however, beyond what the fans are expecting.

As per the report of Ecumenical News, instead of being lovey-dovey, there are rumors that Krista and Eren might end up killing each other off. The first season hinted a possible romance between the two. In Attack on Titan 2, however, the romantic relationship of the two would take a different direction. There are no details yet on this bitter turn of events but reports attribute this rift in Krista's family background.

Meanwhile, there are speculations circulating online that Levi and Mikasa could have a romantic situation in Attack on Titan 2 as well. Whereas the first season left a lot of untold details regarding the real relation of the two, the fans might finally learn whether rumors about them being siblings are real or not. Whether this revelation could affect the relationship of the two, only time can tell.

Whilst it was confirmed that the anime series will deviate away from its source material, nothing is impossible to happen in Attack on Titan 2. The fans, however, should treat these speculations with a pinch of salt as the producers and creators have not released official details yet about the story arc that the next season would take.

Although the shonen anime is not putting much emphasis on the character's love interest as they are too drawn in battling the Titans, wouldn't it be a treat not just for fans but for the characters themselves if they are to find a little romance? The Attack on Titan 2 is expected for release in spring of 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
