HP, in taking up the challenge set by reviews on previous laptop versions, has introduced innovative offerings in the form of new ProBook 400 series laptops.
These new developed HP laptops are designed for business applications. Each of the laptops have a thinner wedge design, a new color called Asteroid Silver, and a bright reflective HP logo. HP offers five new models with superb features and specifications:
- HP ProBook 430 G4 (13.3-inches)
- HP ProBook 440 G4 (14-inches)
- HP ProBook 450 G4 (15.6-inches)
- HP ProBook 455 G4 (15.6-inches)
- HP ProBook 470 G4 (17.3-inches)
All of the laptop models mentioned have undergone MIL-STD 810G testing (drop, shock, vibration, dust and temperature). as well as 120,000 hours-worth of HP's own testing and end-to-end diagnostics. Each of the laptops have a battery life of up to 16 hours, with 39-54% battery improvements on previous models, subject to variations on model type, functionalities and applications.
Depending on the model, HP's new laptops are embedded with the following seventh-generation quad-core processors: AMD A10-9600P APU (1.8GHz), the A9-9410 APU (1.8GHz), and the A6-9210 APU (1.8GHz). Customers also have the choice to go for Intel processors: Core i3-7100U (2.4GHz), Core i5-7200U (2.5GHz), and Core i7-7500U (2.7GHz). The laptops are also equipped with memory slots supporting up to 16GB of DDR4 system memory clocked at 2,133MHz, as well as various storage options spanning hard drives, solid state drives, and hybrid drives. Furthermore, the laptops come with NVIDIA's GeForce 930MX graphics technology for faster applications performance like photo and video editing, along with overall speed boost achieved through offloading graphics processing and memory from the CPU.
HP also provides high-definition display for each ProBook 400 series model for improved visuals and sharper images. Other specification include an Ethernet port, VGA output, a headphone/microphone combo jack, and an SD card reader. What's more, a built-in 720p HD webcam, a full-sized backlit keyboard, integrated stereo speakers, and four USB ports (two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, and one USB 3.0 Type-C port).
The laptops are priced between US$500 to US$750, according to Digital Trends.
