A new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 trailer was shown off at Tokyo Game Show, revealing more classic scenes from the anime and gameplay to get fans hyped. The trailer starts with a short animated segment telling viewers what the Time Patrollers actually do and how they try and stop changes to the timeline (like what Trunks has done in the past). The video starts out with rules of a Time Patroller and what they can do, and we also get a fair warning about changing events in the past, so we don't end up causing trouble like Trunks has in the past.
The video then shows us various parts of the game, including memorable scene and new parts made just for the game and plenty of action.Additionally, an open beta was announced for Japan for PS Plus-users. Its early-access starts on October 8 from 5:00pm JST through October 10 4:59pm JST. The regular open beta begins on October 14 at 5:00pm JST through October 16 at 4:59pm JST.After the animated segment, there is a ton of new gameplay showing off the enhanced frame rate of battles and showing off the transformations for your custom character.
In Xenoverse 2, players can obtain transformations for the Super Namekian, Super Saiyan 3 and Super Buu. Speaking of custom characters, there's also a bit of footage showing some of the changes you can make to your Namekian character and your female Saiyan. And for the first time, your female Saiyan can become a Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 3 complete with long spiky hair. Players will have to travel through time to stop the changes to the Dragon Ball timeline. One example shown in this new Xenoverse 2 trailer was Cell absorbing both Android 17 and 18 at the same time.On the customization side, the Majin race can now transform into the Kid Buu form. If you choose the Frieza race for your custom character, you'll be able to transform into the Gold Frieza form, like in the Resurrection of F movie. You can also have a Super Namekian transformation.Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release Oct. 25.
